Paolo Simone Tiseni was born in Milano, Italy, in 1976.
After graduate studies at the University of Milano, in 2001 he joined Vicuron Pharmaceuticals as a medicinal chemist, working on the discovery and development of new antibiotics and antifungals.
In November 2004 he moved to ETH Zürich to start his Ph.D. studies in the group of Professor Peters, where he is currently working in the field of asymmetric synthesis using organocatalysts.
